Birch Blues

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut bibendum tortor sit amet ligula rutrum, at porta tortor convallis ...

My first collage to post on this website.

I've been collecting birch bark for over five years and dabbling in how to cut and paste it on paper. It ain't easy, as my mother used to say.

Birch Blues is a mixture of paper birch bark from BC and eastern Canada, and painted Japanese Washi paper. Mounted on watercolour paper, its deckled edges show. Presented here with a brown frame, but the original ships ready to insert in a 20x16" shadow box (front loading) frame. If bought locally, I'll add another $60 white wood frame with glass if you wish.
